Nigerian streamer and comedian Carter Efe has revealed that Afrobeats star Davido personally cautioned him against insulting fellow singer Wizkid, after his repeated comments about the Starboy sparked speculation online.

Carter Efe made the revelation during a recent livestream, explaining that Davido reached out to him after people began assuming that he was behind his comments about Wizkid.

According to Carter Efe, Davido wanted to make it clear that he had nothing to do with the remarks and did not want his name associated with attacks against his longtime industry rival.

“Davido messaged me and told me that I shouldn’t try it in my life again to insult Wizkid again, because people have started thinking he is the one sending me, meanwhile he doesn’t know anything about it,” Carter Efe said.
